Exemplaren (darunter das landesweit verbreitete Boulevardblatt »USA Today«, gegründet 1982, Auflage rd. 2,3 Mio.; seit 1984 auch eine Europaausgabe, seit 1995 eine Onlineausgabe), zahlreiche Zeitschriften, 22 Fernsehstationen sowie Druckereien, Vertriebsgesellschaften, eine Nachrichtenagentur (Gannett News Service) u. a.; 2000 erwarb Gannett das britische Zeitungsunternehmen Newscom, das über 100 Regionalzeitungen vertreibt. - Umsatz (2000): 6,2 Mrd. US-$; Beschäftigte: rd. 53 400.
